slNotification33

Module: TELDAT-TRAP-SL-MIB

OID (symbolic): TELDAT-TRAP-SL-MIB::slNotification33

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2007.1.4.83.2.0.33

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: Notification of Event SL.33

Message: 'Packet buffer number $1 crossed 64 Kbyte page boundary, dropped, ifc $2'

Parameters list: $1: sl33-buffer-number $2: sl33-interface

A packet buffer was allocated for the DNX 300 serial line, but that buffer crossed a 64 Kbyte memory boundary in the buffer memory. Since all of the receive buffers for a DNX 300 serial line must be in the same 64 Kbyte buffer memory packet, that buffer will be ignored, and no further buffers will be allocated for the device. The interface will still try and come up, but with a reduced number of receive packet buffers.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' TELDAT-TRAP-SL-MIB::slNotification33
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.2007.1.4.83.2.0.33

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:58812->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (237337532) 27 days, 11:16:15.32
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: TELDAT-TRAP-SL-MIB::slNotification33
