sdlcNotification56

Module: TELDAT-TRAP-SDLC-MIB

OID (symbolic): TELDAT-TRAP-SDLC-MIB::sdlcNotification56

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2007.1.4.90.2.0.56

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: Notification of Event SDLC.56

Message: 'Interface $1 Station $2, Window size is inconsistent with modulo for link - adjusted ($3 -> $4)'

Parameters list: $1: sdlc56-interface $2: sdlc56-address $3: sdlc56-oldTxWindow $4: sdlc56-newTxWindow

The modulo for this link has been changed by the user, rendering the window sizes for all pre-defined remote link stations invalid. The window size has been temporarily adjusted. When a link is configured for mod-8, the valid window sizes are 0 to 7. When the link is configured for mod-128, the valid window sizes are 8 to 128. To avoid this message in the future, change the transmit window size with the 'SET REMOTE TRANSMIT-WINDOW' command.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' TELDAT-TRAP-SDLC-MIB::sdlcNotification56
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.2007.1.4.90.2.0.56

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:58645->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (452862229) 52 days, 9:57:02.29
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: TELDAT-TRAP-SDLC-MIB::sdlcNotification56
