The MIB's own DESCRIPTION for this object reads "Pool reads, IOs per second," which is a copy-paste error from the neighboring poolTotalReadIops definition; the object name and its position immediately after poolTotalReadMbps make clear it is meant to report pool write IOPS. It measures how many write operations per second are landing across all pools, a key figure when judging whether the array can absorb a write-heavy workload.
