diskSequentialIOCount

Module: TEGILE-MIB

OID (symbolic): TEGILE-MIB::diskSequentialIOCount

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.43906.1.2.22

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Description: Disk sequential io count

What is diskSequentialIOCount?

Reports the count of sequential I/O operations on the disks, as opposed to random ones. Comparing this to diskRandomIOCount tells an admin whether the current workload (e.g. streaming backups) is favorable for spinning-disk throughput or is dominated by random access that stresses seek time instead.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43906.1.2.22
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> TEGILE-MIB::diskSequentialIOCount

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43906.1.2.22.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> TEGILE-MIB::diskSequentialIOCount.1
