diskRandomIOCount

Module: TEGILE-MIB

OID (symbolic): TEGILE-MIB::diskRandomIOCount

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.43906.1.2.21

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: Disk random io count

What is diskRandomIOCount?

Reports the count of random-access I/O operations on the disks, as opposed to sequential ones. A workload dominated by random I/O (e.g. many small VM disks) drives more disk-head movement and typically yields lower throughput per disk than a sequential-heavy workload.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43906.1.2.21
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> TEGILE-MIB::diskRandomIOCount

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43906.1.2.21.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> TEGILE-MIB::diskRandomIOCount.1
