tcpEStatsPathPostCongSumRTT

Module: TCP-ESTATS-MIB

OID (symbolic): TCP-ESTATS-MIB::tcpEStatsPathPostCongSumRTT

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.156.1.1.4.1.25

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: ZeroBasedCounter32

Access: read-only

Description: Sum of the first sample of the RTT (tcpEStatsPathSampleRTT) following each congestion signal. Such that the change in tcpEStatsPathPostCongSumRTT divided by the change in tcpEStatsPathPostCongCountRTT is the average RTT (over some interval) just after a congestion signal.

What is tcpEStatsPathPostCongSumRTT?

Running sum of the first RTT sample seen just after each congestion signal; dividing its change by tcpEStatsPathPostCongCountRTT gives the average RTT right after congestion. Note: the source MIB lists this object's UNITS as 'octets' even though the DESCRIPTION is clearly about RTT samples - that UNITS clause looks like a copy-paste error and should be read as milliseconds, matching its sibling tcpEStatsPathPreCongSumRTT.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.156.1.1.4.1.25
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> TCP-ESTATS-MIB::tcpEStatsPathPostCongSumRTT

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.156.1.1.4.1.25.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> TCP-ESTATS-MIB::tcpEStatsPathPostCongSumRTT.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> tcpEStatsPathPostCongSumRTT.1
