Description: Manages T3511 device configuration, operational state, and interface parameters.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is T3511-MIB?

T3511-MIB is a proprietary MIB for the Comet System T3511 environmental sensor/data-logger device, a standalone unit that measures temperature and humidity along with a derived computed value. It exposes environmental measurement data including current, minimum, and maximum recorded temperature and humidity readings, a computed value combining them, and timestamps for when each extreme was recorded. Its monitoring value is entirely environmental/hardware-condition status: detecting when temperature or humidity in a monitored space (e.g., a server room, cold storage, or industrial environment) drifts outside acceptable bounds, using the templow/temphigh and humiditylow/humidityhigh threshold-tracking fields. It is a self-contained vendor MIB under the Comet System enterprise tree with no apparent dependency on other MIBs. It is deployed as a standalone environmental monitoring probe, often placed in data centers, server rooms, or storage facilities to provide SNMP-based climate alerting. Engineers can download the T3511-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in T3511-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Comet System T3511 environmental temperature/humidity sensor

Monitoring Examples

An operator would poll temperature and humidity for the current readings, and compare against templow/temphigh and humiditylow/humidityhigh to see if the room has recently breached its configured comfort/safety range, using temptime and humidityTime to pinpoint when the extreme occurred. The computedValue field (with cvlow/cvhigh and cvTime) likely represents a derived metric such as dew point, useful for detecting condensation risk. A temperature reading climbing toward temphigh combined with a recent temptime update would trigger an environmental alert for a server room approaching an overheat condition.

What Can Be Monitored

  • current temperature
  • current humidity
  • min/max temperature thresholds
  • min/max humidity thresholds
  • computed derived value (e.g., dew point)
  • timestamp of extreme readings
