s3AgentInitString

Module: SYNOPTICS-COMMON-MIB

OID (symbolic): SYNOPTICS-COMMON-MIB::s3AgentInitString

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.2.4.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-write

Description: This is the initialization string used to establish the out-of-band connection. (i.e. could contain the string ATDT,415-960-1100 for an internal or external modem). This is used as a hint for the network manager since this string is not used by the agent to initiate a connection to a management station.

This parameter will take effect only after a restart (s3AgentRestart) is issued. This parameter will not survive a reset (s3AgentReset) unless the specific NMM configuration file is updated to reflect the change.

What is s3AgentInitString?

Read-write string (0-64 chars) holding the modem initialization/dial string (e.g. "ATDT,415-960-1100") used to establish an out-of-band connection; it's informational for the network manager only, since the agent itself doesn't use it to initiate connections.
