swL2TrafficCtrlBMStormthreshold
Module: SWL2MGMT-MIB
OID (symbolic): SWL2MGMT-MIB::swL2TrafficCtrlBMStormthreshold
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.201.1.2.12.1.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This object to decide how much thousand packets per second broadcast/multicast (depend on swL2TrafficCtrlBcastStormCtrl, swL2TrafficCtrlMcastStormCtrl or swL2TrafficCtrlDlfStormCtrl objects whether is enabled) will active storm control. Whenever a port reaches its configured amount of packets in the one second time interval, the device will start dropping that type of packet, until the time interval has expired. Once the time interval has expired, the device will start forwarding that type of packet.
What is swL2TrafficCtrlBMStormthreshold?
Read-write storm-control threshold (0-255), in thousands of packets per second, for broadcast, multicast or destination lookup failure traffic (depending on which of those controls is enabled). When a port reaches the threshold within a second the switch drops that type of packet until the interval expires, then forwards again.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.201.1.2.12.1.1.3 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> SWL2MGMT-MIB::swL2TrafficCtrlBMStormthreshold
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.201.1.2.12.1.1.3.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> SWL2MGMT-MIB::swL2TrafficCtrlBMStormthreshold.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.201.1.2.12.1.1.3.1 i <value>
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> swL2TrafficCtrlBMStormthreshold.1
