Module: SWL2MGMT-MIB

OID (symbolic): SWL2MGMT-MIB::swDevInfoFrontPanelLedStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.201.1.2.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Description: This object is a set of system LED indications. The first three octets is defined as system LED. The first LED is primary power LED. The second LED is redundant power LED. The third LED is console LED. The other octets following the second octets are the logical port LED (following dot1dBasePort ordering). Every two bytes are presented to a port. The first byte is presentd to the Link/Activity LED. The second byte is presented to the Speed LED.

Link/Activity LED : The most significant bit is used for blink/solid: 8 = The LED blinks.

The second significant bit is used for link status: 1 = link fail. 2 = link pass.

Speed LED : 01 = 10Mbps. 02 = 100Mbps. 03 = 1000Mbps.

The four remaining bits are currently unused and must be 0.

What is swDevInfoFrontPanelLedStatus?

Returns the front-panel LED states as a raw byte string: the first three octets are the primary power LED, redundant power LED and console LED, followed by two bytes per port (in dot1dBasePort order). For each port the first byte is Link/Activity (top bit = blinking, 1 = link fail, 2 = link pass) and the second is Speed (01 = 10 Mbps, 02 = 100 Mbps, 03 = 1000 Mbps); this lets you see remotely what a technician would see on the box.
