swDomainID
Module: SW-MIB
OID (symbolic): SW-MIB::swDomainID
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.2.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: SwDomainIndex
Access: read-write
Description: The current Fibre Channel domain ID of the switch. To set a new value, the switch (swAdmStatus) must be in offline or testing state.
What is swDomainID?
Reports (and lets an admin set) the switch's current Fibre Channel domain ID within the fabric, the number other switches use to identify it in FC-SW routing. A new domain ID can only be set while the switch is offline or in testing state (see swAdmStatus), since changing it while online would disrupt fabric routing.
