Description: According to the differnet address looke mode setting, to enlarge the address table size is possible in device. But there is side effect as the higher level you have, the lower thorughput device has. That means Level 0 get the smallest table size, but get better performace. We recommand the user use the Level 1 as defualt setting.

What is swL2DevCtrlAddrLookupModesAndHitRate?

This object selects one of eight address-lookup levels, level0 through level7, that trade off MAC address table size against forwarding lookup performance. Admins raise the level to accommodate a larger address table on a busy switch, accepting the vendor-noted throughput penalty, while the vendor recommends level1 as the default balance. On a switch running out of MAC table space, an admin might move this from level1 to level3 to enlarge the table at the cost of somewhat lower forwarding performance.
