stnBgpRouteAttrRefCount
Module: STN-BGP-MIB
OID (symbolic): STN-BGP-MIB::stnBgpRouteAttrRefCount
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3551.2.12.5.1.1.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: A number of BGP routes using this attibute set.
What is stnBgpRouteAttrRefCount?
This counts how many BGP routes currently reference this particular attribute set. A high reference count indicates many prefixes share identical attributes (common with route aggregation or a single upstream peer), which admins can use to judge how impactful a change to that attribute set would be. If this value drops to zero, the attribute set is no longer used by any route and could be considered stale.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3551.2.12.5.1.1.1.3 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> STN-BGP-MIB::stnBgpRouteAttrRefCount
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3551.2.12.5.1.1.1.3.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> STN-BGP-MIB::stnBgpRouteAttrRefCount.1
