When this attribute is set to 'Poisson', then packets are generated with inter-packet injection times sampled from an exponential distribution with the single distributional parameter determined by the inverse frequency).
What is sspmSourceControlSamplingDist?
Selects how test packets are spaced in time - deterministic(1) sends them at a fixed interval set by sspmSourceControlFrequency, while poisson(2) randomizes the spacing using an exponential distribution around that same average rate - which an admin picks based on whether they want steady or more realistic, bursty-looking traffic.
