sshsmSupportFlag

Module: SSHSM-DISCOVERY-MIB

OID (symbolic): SSHSM-DISCOVERY-MIB::sshsmSupportFlag

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.0.0.0

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: SshsmSupportFlag

Access: read-only

Description: The flag indicates availability of SSH transport for successive SNMP communication.

What is sshsmSupportFlag?

This object indicates whether the device supports carrying subsequent SNMP communication over an SSH transport, as part of the SSH Session Model (SSHSM) used to secure SNMP traffic. A management application checks this flag before attempting to negotiate an SSH-transported SNMP session with the device. For example, an SNMP manager reading sshsmSupportFlag as unsupported would fall back to a conventional UDP-based SNMP session instead of attempting SSH transport.
