ss7iCmdMgtStationId

Module: SS7I-MIB

OID (symbolic): SS7I-MIB::ss7iCmdMgtStationId

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.1.35.2.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: This object is a generic read-write variable that a Management Station (MS) can use to guarantee that the results from a given command are the results of a command issued by that specific MS. Each MS must SET a unique value to this object when doing commands and GET the value of this object together with ss7iCmdReqId and ss7iCmdResult to detect interference from other MSs.

What is ss7iCmdMgtStationId?

This is a generic read-write field a management station sets to a unique value before issuing a command, so it can later confirm (together with ss7iCmdReqId and ss7iCmdResult) that the results it reads belong to its own command rather than one issued by another management station. An admin or NMS uses this to avoid confusion when multiple management stations might issue commands to the same card.
