postPowerIn

Module: SO-MUX-MIB

OID (symbolic): SO-MUX-MIB::postPowerIn

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.51628.1.3.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: Power in in dBm

What is postPowerIn?

This object reports the optical power level, in dBm, entering the post-amplifier stage of this EDFA sequence. Admins monitor this to verify the signal arriving at the final booster stage is within expected range after passing through the pre-amp and multiplexing components. A postPowerIn value lower than expected would suggest signal loss occurred somewhere between the pre-amplifier and this post-amplifier stage.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.51628.1.3.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> SO-MUX-MIB::postPowerIn

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.51628.1.3.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> SO-MUX-MIB::postPowerIn.1
