snmpProxyStorageType

Module: SNMP-PROXY-MIB

OID (symbolic): SNMP-PROXY-MIB::snmpProxyStorageType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.6.3.14.1.2.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: StorageType

Access: read-create

Description: The storage type of this conceptual row. Conceptual rows having the value 'permanent' need not allow write-access to any columnar objects in the row.

What is snmpProxyStorageType?

This read-create value sets the storage type of the proxy table row, defaulting to nonVolatile, and rows marked permanent need not allow write access to their columnar objects. Admins set it to volatile for a temporary proxy rule that should not survive a reboot, or leave it nonVolatile for a rule meant to persist. For example, setting snmpProxyStorageType to volatile on a test proxy entry ensures it disappears automatically after the next restart.
