Description: This object selects a management target defined in the snmpTargetAddrTable (in the SNMP-TARGET-MIB). The selected target is defined by an entry in the snmpTargetAddrTable whose index value (snmpTargetAddrName) is equal to this object.
This object is only used when selection of a single target is required (i.e. when forwarding an incoming read or write request).
What is snmpProxySingleTargetOut?
This read-create string selects a single management target from the snmpTargetAddrTable (defined in SNMP-TARGET-MIB) by matching its snmpTargetAddrName index, and is used specifically when forwarding an incoming read or write request that needs exactly one destination. Admins set it to point read/write proxy forwarding at a single specific backend management target. For example, setting this to "backendManager1" forwards incoming GET/SET requests through this proxy entry to that one target address.
