Description: Active DA discovery allowed for this SLP agent. If 'true', SLP agent MAY actively discover DAs, If 'false', SLP agent MUST NOT actively discover DAs.

See: 'Active DA Discovery' in SLPv2 (RFC 2608).

See: 'net.slp.DAActiveDiscoveryInterval' in SLP API (RFC2614).

What is slpAgentActiveDADiscovery?

This object indicates whether this SLP agent is permitted to actively probe the network to discover directory agents. An admin controls this to manage discovery traffic, tied to the 'net.slp.DAActiveDiscoveryInterval' setting, since disabling it stops the agent from periodically sending its own active DA discovery requests. For example, a value of false(2) configures a UA to rely solely on passively received DAAdvert announcements instead of actively soliciting them.
