sctpMaxAssocs
Module: SCTP-MIB
OID (symbolic): SCTP-MIB::sctpMaxAssocs
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.104.1.2.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Integer32
Access: read-only
Description: The limit on the total number of associations the entity can support. In entities where the maximum number of associations is dynamic, this object should contain the value -1.
What is sctpMaxAssocs?
This read-only value reports the limit on the total number of SCTP associations this entity can support; a value of -1 means the maximum is dynamic (not a fixed limit). Admins check this before assuming a fixed capacity ceiling, since dynamic implementations won't report a finite number here.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.104.1.2.5 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> SCTP-MIB::sctpMaxAssocs
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.104.1.2.5.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> SCTP-MIB::sctpMaxAssocs.1
