sctpAssocPrimProcess

Module: SCTP-MIB

OID (symbolic): SCTP-MIB::sctpAssocPrimProcess

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.104.1.3.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: This object identifies the system level process which holds primary responsibility for the SCTP association. Wherever possible, this should be the system's native unique identification number. The special value 0 can be used to indicate that no primary process is known.

Note that the value of this object can be used as a pointer into the swRunTable of the HOST-RESOURCES-MIB(if the value is smaller than 2147483647) or into the sysApplElmtRunTable of the SYSAPPL-MIB.

What is sctpAssocPrimProcess?

This read-only value identifies the system-level process holding primary responsibility for this SCTP association, usable as a lookup key into HOST-RESOURCES-MIB's swRunTable or SYSAPPL-MIB; zero means no primary process is known. Admins use it to trace a specific SCTP association back to the owning application process on the host.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.104.1.3.1.12
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> SCTP-MIB::sctpAssocPrimProcess

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.104.1.3.1.12.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> SCTP-MIB::sctpAssocPrimProcess.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> sctpAssocPrimProcess.1
