scspCSAReXmExceed

Module: SCSP-MIB

OID (symbolic): SCSP-MIB::scspCSAReXmExceed

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.3.2001.2.1

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: Retransmission of a CSA to this DCS has exceeded maximum retry limit, indicating an 'abnormal event' has happened between the LS/DCS association. The HSFM associated with this DCS is transitioned into the 'Waiting' state, and a 'scspHFSMWaiting' trap is also generated.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' SCSP-MIB::scspCSAReXmExceed
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.3.2001.2.1

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:61897->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (278450633) 32 days, 5:28:26.33
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: SCSP-MIB::scspCSAReXmExceed

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, ATM/NBMA server or router implementing SCSP-based caching, e.g. NHRP/MARS with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Create custom SNMP monitor using the SCSP-MIB::scspCSAReXmExceed OID value, configure state conditions and alerts, and monitor any vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, ATM/NBMA server or router implementing SCSP-based caching, e.g. NHRP/MARS from a single console.
