scsiAuthIntrLunMapIndex

Module: SCSI-MIB

OID (symbolic): SCSI-MIB::scsiAuthIntrLunMapIndex

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.139.2.3.3.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: ScsiIndexValueOrZero

Access: read-create

Description: This object identifies the set of entries in the scsiLunMapTable for which scsiLunMapIndex has the same value as the value of this object. The identified set of entries

constitutes the LUN map to be used for accessing logical units when the remote SCSI initiator port or device corresponding to this entry is attached to any local SCSI target port or device corresponding to this entry. Note that this object has a value of zero if this entry should use the default LUN map.

What is scsiAuthIntrLunMapIndex?

Points to the group of scsiLunMapTable entries (sharing this same index) that define which LUNs this authorized initiator sees; a value of zero means it uses the default LUN map instead. Admins use this to assign a custom, initiator-specific LUN mapping, e.g. giving one host visibility only into its own dedicated volumes.
