s5EtrNewPortManualPart

Module: S5-ETHERNET-TRAP-MIB

OID (symbolic): S5-ETHERNET-TRAP-MIB::s5EtrNewPortManualPart

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.2.1.0.7

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: A port was manually partitioned (wrapped). This trap is sent once when the port is initially partitioned. The following values are returned: s5EnPortPartStatus.....the partition status of the port, with the instance identifying the board and the port. s5EnPortJabberStatus...the jabber status of the DTE(s) connected to the port, with the instance identifying the board and the port.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' S5-ETHERNET-TRAP-MIB::s5EtrNewPortManualPart
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.2.1.0.7

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:62482->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (180334610) 20 days, 20:55:46.10
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: S5-ETHERNET-TRAP-MIB::s5EtrNewPortManualPart

SNMPv3 example:

snmptrap -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3user -a SHA -A "AuthPass1" -x AES -X "PrivPass1" <manager> '' S5-ETHERNET-TRAP-MIB::s5EtrNewPortManualPart
