cdx6500PCTRoutInterchUseIgpMetric

Module: ROUTER-OPT-MIB

OID (symbolic): ROUTER-OPT-MIB::cdx6500PCTRoutInterchUseIgpMetric

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.449.2.1.2.1.5.32.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Use IGP Metric. This parameter and the following Metric parameter, cdx6500PCTRoutInterchMetric, determine the cost reported to EGP of accessing the internal IP network. The two possible Interior Gateway Protocols (IGPs) are RIP or OSPF. If Use IGP metric is ON, the cost advertised to EGP will be identical to the locally reported routing table cost (from RIP or OSPF). If Use IGP metric OFF, the Metric parameter of this entry is reported. newvalOff : same functionality as 'off', new enumeration added for RFC1155 compatibility.

What is cdx6500PCTRoutInterchUseIgpMetric?

When on, the cost this router advertises to EGP for the network in this entry matches the router's own internal RIP/OSPF routing-table cost; when off, the fixed cdx6500PCTRoutInterchMetric value is reported instead. newvalOff behaves like off, added for RFC1155 enumeration compatibility.
