rohcRtpPacketSizeRestrictedType
Module: ROHC-RTP-MIB
OID (symbolic): ROHC-RTP-MIB::rohcRtpPacketSizeRestrictedType
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.114.1.2.1.6
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: This object is only applicable to preferred packet
sizes of compressor contexts using the LLA profile. When retrieved, it will indicate whether the packet size is preferred for NHP only, for RHP only, or for both of them.
The value of this object is only valid for LLA profiles, i.e., if the corresponding rohcProfile has a value of 0x0005. If the corresponding rohcProfile has a value other than 0x0005, then this object MUST NOT be instantiated.
What is rohcRtpPacketSizeRestrictedType?
This value, applicable only to preferred packet sizes on LLA-profile compressor contexts, indicates whether that preferred size is restricted to no-header packets (NHP), reduced-header packets (RHP), or usable for both. An admin fine-tuning LLA packet-size preferences would use this to understand why a given size might only be applied to headerless payload traffic and not to reduced-header traffic, which affects how consistently that size shows up on the wire. For instance, a preferred size flagged rhpOnly(2) means the compressor will only use that packet size for RHP packets, never for fully headerless NHP packets, even though the size is marked preferred.
