rohcRtpContextSizesAllowed

Module: ROHC-RTP-MIB

OID (symbolic): ROHC-RTP-MIB::rohcRtpContextSizesAllowed

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.114.1.1.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: The value of this object is only valid for decompressor contexts, i.e., if rohcInstanceType of the corresponding rohcContextEntry has the value decompressor(2). For compressor contexts where rohcInstanceType has the value compressor(1), this object MUST NOT be instantiated.

This object contains the number of different packet sizes that may be used in the context.

What is rohcRtpContextSizesAllowed?

This counter, present only on decompressor contexts, reports how many distinct packet sizes are permitted to appear within this ROHC context. An admin diagnosing decompression errors would compare this allowed count against rohcRtpContextSizesUsed to see whether the compressor is using a subset of the sizes the decompressor is prepared to handle, which affects how the decompressor infers packet boundaries. For instance, rohcRtpContextSizesAllowed might read 3, meaning the decompressor context is configured to accept packets in three distinct size classes.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.114.1.1.1.8
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ROHC-RTP-MIB::rohcRtpContextSizesAllowed

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.114.1.1.1.8.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ROHC-RTP-MIB::rohcRtpContextSizesAllowed.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> rohcRtpContextSizesAllowed.1
