rohcRtpContextCCPs

Module: ROHC-RTP-MIB

OID (symbolic): ROHC-RTP-MIB::rohcRtpContextCCPs

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.114.1.1.1.15

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: This object is only applicable to contexts using the LLA profile. It contains the number of all context check packets (CCP) sent or received in this context, respectively.

Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the management system, and at other times as indicated by the value of ifCounterDiscontinuityTime. For checking ifCounterDiscontinuityTime, the interface index is required. It can be determined by reading the rohcChannelTable of the ROHC-MIB.

The value of this object is only valid for LLA profiles, i.e., if the corresponding rohcProfile has a value of 0x0005. If the corresponding rohcProfile has a value other than 0x0005, then this object MUST NOT be instantiated.

What is rohcRtpContextCCPs?

This counter, applicable only to LLA-profile contexts, records the number of context check packets (CCP) exchanged to verify that compressor and decompressor state still agree. An admin monitoring a marginal radio link would use a steady CCP rate to confirm periodic health checks are occurring, and an unusually high rate to suspect the context is being checked more aggressively than needed due to instability. For example, rohcRtpContextCCPs incrementing roughly once per rohcRtpContextVerifyPeriod packets confirms the periodic verification scheme configured for this context is functioning as intended.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.114.1.1.1.15
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ROHC-RTP-MIB::rohcRtpContextCCPs

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.114.1.1.1.15.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ROHC-RTP-MIB::rohcRtpContextCCPs.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> rohcRtpContextCCPs.1
