The status of this variable history control entry.

An entry may not exist in the active state unless all objects in the entry have an appropriate value.

If this object is not equal to active(1), all associated entries in the usrHistoryTable shall be deleted.

What is usrHistoryControlStatus?

This control field indicates whether this history collection is active, inactive, or being created/deleted, using status codes like active(1) or notInService(2). Engineers set this to enable or disable the collection, and deleting it removes all stored history data for this entry. You might set this to notInService to pause monitoring of a deprecated metric temporarily without losing configuration.
