Description:
A control string which specifies how to dial the phone number in order to establish a modem connection. The string should include dialing prefix and suffix. For example: ``^s^MATD9,888-1234^M'' will instruct the Probe to send a carriage return followed by the dialing prefix ``ATD'', the phone number ``9,888-1234'', and a carriage return as the dialing suffix. This object may not be modified if the associated serialConnectStatus object is equal to active(1).
What is serialConnectDialString?
This text string contains the modem commands and phone number to dial for establishing a remote connection, including prefixes like 'ATD' and suffixes like carriage returns. Engineers type in sequences like 'ATDT 1-800-555-1234' to instruct the modem how to dial. Cannot be edited while the connection is active.
