Description: The CLEI (Common Language Equipment Identifier) code for the chassis. If the string has length 0, then the physical entity does not have a CLEI code assisgned to it. This object can be changed if the physical entity has incorrect or no CLEI code.
What is rsInventoryChassisAssetCLEI?
rsInventoryChassisAssetCLEI holds the 10-character CLEI (Common Language Equipment Identifier) code assigned to the chassis, or an empty string if none is assigned. An admin can read this to identify the chassis type for telecom equipment inventory and billing systems, and can write to it to correct a missing or wrong CLEI code per Bellcore GR-485-CORE. For example, an admin might set this to a code like 'COUJADXA' to properly register the chassis in an inventory system that requires CLEI codes.
