Description: The 32-bit unsigned sum of the LS checksums of the external link-state advertisements contained in the link-state database. This sum can be used to determine if there has been a change in a router's link state database, and to compare the link-state database of two routers.

What is ospfExternLSACksumSum?

The 32-bit sum of the LS checksums of all external link-state advertisements in the database; comparing this value between two routers is a quick way to check whether their external LSA sets match.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> RFC1252-MIB::ospfExternLSACksumSum

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.13.1.7.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> RFC1252-MIB::ospfExternLSACksumSum.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> ospfExternLSACksumSum.1
