ds3Loopback
Module: RFC1233-MIB
OID (symbolic): RFC1233-MIB::ds3Loopback
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.30.1.1.7
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: This variable represents the loopback state of the CSU. Devices supporting read/write access should return badValue in response to a requested loopback state that the CSU does not support. The values mean:
ds3NoLoop Not in the loopback state. A device that is not capable of performing a loopback on either interface shall always return this as it's value.
ds3LocalLoopbackLocalSide Signal received from the local side of the device is looped back at the local connector (eg, without involving the CSU).
ds3LocalLoopbackRemoteSide Signal received from the local side of the device is looped back at the remote connector (eg, through the CSU).
ds3RemoteLoopbackLocalSide Signal received from the remote side of the device is looped back at the local connector (eg, through the CSU).
ds3RemoteLoopbackRemoteSide Signal received from the remote side of the device is looped back at the remote connector (eg, without involving the CSU).
Note that M23 and ClearChannel interfaces do not support the Loopback managed object.
What is ds3Loopback?
Reports the CSU's current loopback test state, such as ds3NoLoop(1) for normal operation or one of the local/remote loopback variants used when an admin is isolating a DS3 circuit fault.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.30.1.1.7 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> RFC1233-MIB::ds3Loopback
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.30.1.1.7.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> RFC1233-MIB::ds3Loopback.1
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> ds3Loopback.1
