rsRadiusClientAlgorithm

Module: REDSTONE-RADIUS-CLIENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): REDSTONE-RADIUS-CLIENT-MIB::rsRadiusClientAlgorithm

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2773.2.19.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The algorithm used by the client when multiple authentication/accounting servers are configured:

direct Use servers in order of precedence, each time beginning with the highest precedence server and proceeding to lower precedence servers if the the RADIUS request fails, until the request succeeds or all servers have been tried.

roundRobin Use servers in round-robin order, each time beginning with the next round-robin-ordered server and proceeding cyclically through servers if the RADIUS request fails, until the request succeeds or all servers have been tried.

What is rsRadiusClientAlgorithm?

Selects how this RADIUS client picks among multiple configured servers: direct(0) always starts with the highest-precedence server and falls back on failure, while roundRobin(1) cycles through servers in rotation each time, both continuing until a request succeeds or all servers are tried.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2773.2.19.1.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> REDSTONE-RADIUS-CLIENT-MIB::rsRadiusClientAlgorithm

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2773.2.19.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> REDSTONE-RADIUS-CLIENT-MIB::rsRadiusClientAlgorithm.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2773.2.19.1.1.2.1 i <value>
