diskChannel
Module: READYNAS-MIB
OID (symbolic): READYNAS-MIB::diskChannel
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.18.3.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: Channel number that the disk is connected to.
What is diskChannel?
This read-only value reports the channel number that a given disk is connected to in the ReadyNAS chassis. An admin uses it to physically locate a specific disk bay when a drive needs replacement, since disk table entries are otherwise identified only by index. For example, seeing channel 3 associated with a failed disk entry tells the technician exactly which drive bay to pull.
