rbnMeasurementInterval

Module: RBN-SYS-SECURITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): RBN-SYS-SECURITY-MIB::rbnMeasurementInterval

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2352.5.54.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Gauge32

Access: read-write

Description: Data is sampled at the start and end of a specified interval. The difference between the start and end values |end - start| is called the delta value. When setting the interval, care should be taken that the interval should be short enough that the sampled variable is very unlikely to increase or decrease by more than range of the variable.

What is rbnMeasurementInterval?

This Gauge32 value, in seconds, defines the sampling window used to compute the delta value of the malicious-packets counter, sampled at the start and end of each interval. An admin should keep this interval short enough that the counter is unlikely to change by more than its full range within one window, so bursts of attack traffic are not missed between samples. For example, the 60-second default interval samples the counter once a minute for threshold comparisons.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2352.5.54.1.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> RBN-SYS-SECURITY-MIB::rbnMeasurementInterval

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2352.5.54.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> RBN-SYS-SECURITY-MIB::rbnMeasurementInterval.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2352.5.54.1.1.2.1 i <value>
