This object reports the perceived severity, such as critical, major, or minor, of a currently active alarm on a DS1 interface. An administrator uses this severity value to prioritize which of several simultaneous DS1 alarms needs immediate attention versus which can wait. For example, rbnDsx1AlarmSeverity reporting a critical severity for one T1 span while others show only minor alarms tells the admin to investigate that span first.
