rbnDhcpIntfThresholdFallingThreshold

Module: RBN-DHCP-MIB

OID (symbolic): RBN-DHCP-MIB::rbnDhcpIntfThresholdFallingThreshold

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2352.2.30.1.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: The falling threshold is a value which specifies that any enabled falling threshold events are to be generated when the value of the currently available leases drops to the falling threshold value via an allocation of a lease from the pool.

The number of available leases is reported in rbnDhcpIntfThresholdAvailable. A falling threshold event is either a notification or a log message or both. Falling threshold events are enabled if either or both of rbnDhcpIntfThresholdFallingSendTrap and rbnDhcpIntfThresholdFallingLogMessage are true.

Note, this is a falling threshold, so a falling threshold event will only be triggered on a transition of the value of rbnDhcpIntfThresholdAvailable dropping from (rbnDhcpIntfThresholdFallingThreshold+1) to rbnDhcpIntfThresholdFallingThreshold.

What is rbnDhcpIntfThresholdFallingThreshold?

This read-only value (0-196608) sets the level at which a falling-threshold event fires as rbnDhcpIntfThresholdAvailable drops through it on lease allocation, provided rbnDhcpIntfThresholdFallingSendTrap or FallingLogMessage is enabled. An admin sets a low value here as an early-warning line for an interface's DHCP pool running out of free addresses.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2352.2.30.1.1.1.6
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> RBN-DHCP-MIB::rbnDhcpIntfThresholdFallingThreshold

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2352.2.30.1.1.1.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> RBN-DHCP-MIB::rbnDhcpIntfThresholdFallingThreshold.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> rbnDhcpIntfThresholdFallingThreshold.1
