rbnBpaCircuitDescr

Module: RBN-BGP-ACCOUNTING-MIB

OID (symbolic): RBN-BGP-ACCOUNTING-MIB::rbnBpaCircuitDescr

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2352.2.20.1.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: SnmpAdminString

Access: read-only

Description: A descriptive version of the interface that is consistent with information displayed in the CLI. This string is formatted as slot/port:channel:subchannel authority/level/index, with the exception that channel and subchannel are only included when appropriate. For example, 4/1 1/2/7, 4/1:1 1/2/7 or 4/1:1:1 1/2/7.

If a circuit description is not available then this object contains a zero-length string

What is rbnBpaCircuitDescr?

This object gives a human-readable circuit description of the interface, formatted in the device's CLI-style slot/port(:channel:subchannel) notation, or an empty string if no such description is available. Admins use this to map an accounting bucket back to a physical circuit exactly as it would appear in the CLI, without needing to decode a raw ifIndex value. For example, this object might return "4/1:1 1/2/7", telling the admin the accounting entry belongs to channel 1 of slot 4 port 1.
