Description: A count of Signal Degrade conditions. This condition occurs when the line Bit Error Rate exceeds the currently configured threshold.
What is apsChanSignalDegrades?
This counts the number of Signal Degrade conditions detected on the channel, which occur when the line's bit error rate exceeds the configured threshold. An admin tracks this counter to spot a marginal or noisy line before it worsens into an outright failure. For example, the counter climbing from 2 to 50 within a day would point to a fiber link that needs physical inspection.
