radiusAccClientExtMalformedResponses
Module: RADIUS-ACCT-CLIENT-MIB
OID (symbolic): RADIUS-ACCT-CLIENT-MIB::radiusAccClientExtMalformedResponses
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.67.2.2.1.1.4.1.9
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Counter32
Access: read-only
Description: The number of malformed RADIUS Accounting-Response packets received from this server. Malformed packets include packets with an invalid length. Bad authenticators and unknown types are not included as malformed accounting responses. This counter may experience a discontinuity when the RADIUS Accounting Client module within the managed entity is reinitialized, as indicated by the current value of radiusAccClientCounterDiscontinuity.
What is radiusAccClientExtMalformedResponses?
This read-only counter, in packets, tallies malformed RADIUS Accounting-Response packets received from this server, such as ones with an invalid length, excluding bad authenticators and unknown types which are counted separately. Admins watch it to catch a server or network path corrupting or mis-generating accounting responses, distinct from authentication or type-mismatch problems. For example, a rising count here while radiusAccClientExtBadAuthenticators stays at zero points specifically to packet-length or formatting corruption rather than a shared-secret mismatch.
