Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: The number of RADIUS packets of unknown type that were received from this server on the accounting port. This counter may experience a discontinuity when the RADIUS Accounting Client module within the managed entity is reinitialized, as indicated by the current value of radiusAccClientCounterDiscontinuity.

What is radiusAccClientExtUnknownTypes?

This counter tracks RADIUS packets of an unrecognized type received from this server on the accounting port, and may show a discontinuity if the accounting client module reinitializes. Admins watch this for signs of protocol version mismatches or unexpected traffic arriving on the accounting port from that server. For example, a nonzero radiusAccClientExtUnknownTypes count might indicate the server is sending a packet type the client's RADIUS implementation doesn't understand, such as a newer extension.
