Description: The number of RADIUS Accounting-Request packets retransmitted to this RADIUS accounting server.
Retransmissions include retries where the Identifier and Acct-Delay have been updated, as well as those in which they remain the same. This counter may experience a discontinuity when the RADIUS Accounting Client module within the managed entity is reinitialized, as indicated by the current value of radiusAccClientCounterDiscontinuity.
What is radiusAccClientExtRetransmissions?
This counter tracks the total number of times a RADIUS Accounting-Request packet was retransmitted to a particular RADIUS accounting server due to timeout or no response. Retransmissions may include updates to the Identifier and Acct-Delay fields, as well as exact duplicates of the original request. Network administrators monitor this metric to assess the reliability of the accounting server connection; a high retransmission rate may indicate network latency, packet loss, or server overload.
