prvtNetworkLoopTestDuration

Module: PRVT-NETWORK-LOOPBACK-TEST-MIB

OID (symbolic): PRVT-NETWORK-LOOPBACK-TEST-MIB::prvtNetworkLoopTestDuration

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.738.1.6.7.1.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: An integer that identifies the duration in seconds of Loopback test. For infinite Loopback tests object will have the value 0.

What is prvtNetworkLoopTestDuration?

This sets how many seconds a network loopback test should run once started, with a value of 0 meaning the test should run indefinitely rather than for a fixed duration. Administrators configure this before initiating a loopback test to control how long the device holds a port in loopback mode for cable or link verification, avoiding leaving the port stuck in test mode longer than intended. Setting this object to 60 would run a one-minute loopback test before the port automatically returns to normal operation.
