Module: PROTEON-MIB

OID (symbolic): PROTEON-MIB::proResInputBufsCurrent

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1.6.1.2.2.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The current number of buffers for this device. A value of zero indicates that the device is disabled. If, on receipt of a packet, the value of this object is less than proResInputBufsLow than the packet is eligible for flow control.

What is proResInputBufsCurrent?

The current number of input buffers available to this interface right now; a value of zero means the device is disabled, and a value below proResInputBufsLow makes incoming packets eligible for flow control. An admin watches this counter to catch an interface that's chronically buffer-starved before it starts dropping or flow-controlling traffic.
