privLslGlobalMacAddress

Module: PRIV-LSL-MIB

OID (symbolic): PRIV-LSL-MIB::privLslGlobalMacAddress

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.738.1.5.113.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: MacAddress

Access: read-write

Description: This object defines the destination mac address assigned to lsl packets. The device can recognise the lsl packets by a specific destination mac address given by this object.

What is privLslGlobalMacAddress?

This object holds the specific destination MAC address the device uses to recognize Logical Service Loopback (LSL) test packets on the wire, distinguishing them from normal traffic. An administrator sets this so the LSL loopback feature and any test equipment agree on which MAC address marks a packet as an LSL probe rather than regular data. For example, setting this object to a dedicated address like 00:11:22:33:44:55 means only frames destined to that MAC are treated by the device as LSL loopback traffic.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.738.1.5.113.1.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> PRIV-LSL-MIB::privLslGlobalMacAddress

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.738.1.5.113.1.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> PRIV-LSL-MIB::privLslGlobalMacAddress.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.738.1.5.113.1.1.1.1 s <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> privLslGlobalMacAddress.1
