pppSecurityConfigLink

Module: PPP-SEC-MIB

OID (symbolic): PPP-SEC-MIB::pppSecurityConfigLink

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.23.2.2.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The value of ifIndex that identifies the entry

in the interface table that is associated with the local PPP entity's link for which this particular security algorithm shall be attempted. A value of 0 indicates the default algorithm - i.e., this entry applies to all links for which explicit entries in the table do not exist.

What is pppSecurityConfigLink?

This value identifies, via ifIndex, the local PPP link to which a particular configured security algorithm applies, with 0 meaning the default entry applying to all links lacking an explicit entry. Admins use it to scope a PPP authentication protocol setting to a specific interface or to all interfaces globally. Setting it to 0 in a row makes that row's security protocol preference apply as the fallback for any PPP link without its own explicit configuration entry.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.23.2.2.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> PPP-SEC-MIB::pppSecurityConfigLink

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.23.2.2.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> PPP-SEC-MIB::pppSecurityConfigLink.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.23.2.2.1.1.1 i <value>
