preDot1qVlanPortGroupInstance

Module: POWERHUB-VLAN-MIB

OID (symbolic): POWERHUB-VLAN-MIB::preDot1qVlanPortGroupInstance

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.1.8.1.1.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The index that identifies the the sub tree in the
preDot1qVlanPortGroupTable that should be walked to retrieve
the group of ports in this VLAN.

IMPORTANT: This table has slightly different semantics than
the next three objects because in all 802 VLANs, in the end
they all resolve down to a group of ports.

Therefore, this object has the following semantic based on
its value and the value of preDot1qVlanType:

   preDot1qVlanType    preDot1qVlanPortGroupInstance    mode
   ------------------  -------------------------------  ----
   Port-based set points to a user configured Manual
                       set of ports
   Port-based not set 0 - There are no ports assigned Auto
                       to this VLAN at this time.
   Port-based not set non zero - points to a system Auto
                       (agent) maintained list of ports

What is preDot1qVlanPortGroupInstance?

Identifies the sub-tree in preDot1qVlanPortGroupTable that should be walked to retrieve the group of ports belonging to this VLAN, with slightly different semantics depending on whether the VLAN is manually port-based or automatically maintained. Admins use it to find the specific port list associated with a given VLAN when the VLAN's own type indicates port-based membership. A nonzero value for an auto, not-manually-set, port-based VLAN points to a system-maintained list of ports currently assigned to that VLAN.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.1.8.1.1.1.1.6
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> POWERHUB-VLAN-MIB::preDot1qVlanPortGroupInstance

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.1.8.1.1.1.1.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> POWERHUB-VLAN-MIB::preDot1qVlanPortGroupInstance.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.1.8.1.1.1.1.6.1 i <value>
