Description: Shows the reason for the latest l2cpPortDownEvent/l2cpPortUpEvent sent from the port. portTrapsNeverSent = Traps have never been sent for this port. portConditionsChanged = Trap sent since a change occured on the DSL line. portEventForced = Trap was forced by l2cpForcePortEvents. portNowEnabled = Trap sent since L2CP was enabled for this port. portNowDisabled = Trap sent since L2CP was disabled for this port. portMadeSRA = Trap sent since the DSL line made a seamless rate adaptation. portAdminStatusChanged = Trap sent since the admin status changed for this port.

What is l2cpTrapReason?

This object reports why the most recent l2cpPortUpEvent or l2cpPortDownEvent trap was sent for a port, with values covering causes like portConditionsChanged, portEventForced (via l2cpForcePortEvents), portNowEnabled/Disabled, portMadeSRA (seamless rate adaptation), and portAdminStatusChanged. Admins use it to understand the trigger behind a received trap without having to separately correlate line-state history. For example, seeing portMadeSRA as the trap reason tells the admin the notification was caused by a rate adaptation event rather than an actual line up/down transition.
